What the AI Act asks for
The EU AI Act places transparency obligations on providers and deployers of generative systems, including that synthetic content be marked in a machine-readable way and that certain content be disclosed as artificially generated. The obligation lands on the parties in the chain, not on the file itself.
What this check can tell you
Whether markers are present and readable: a C2PA manifest, a declared synthetic source type, an AI disclosure in the page metadata. That is a useful engineering-level check of your own output before it is published.
What it is not
This is not a compliance assessment and not legal advice. A green result here does not establish that an obligation is met, and a negative result does not establish that one is breached. Treat it as one input for the people making that determination.
